I feel like Ray Stevens in that old song when he says, "I'm a logger." I'm a teacher. My best friend says we are best friends for two reasons: A. We both want to "fix it". B. We both know we have problems which separates us from the large number of people who want the world to believe they have no problems. So I have a best friend who is younger than I am but must be an old soul because we see things alike a lot of the time. (And seeing "alot" as one word drives us almost as nutty as hearing a principal say "have went".) Yeah, we're into English...well, she's into English and I'm into Reading... I also have a beautiful daughter who is 24 now and talking about getting married. (Shiver and shake quiver and quake) I have a very good dog named Rebel (even though she's a girl) who thinks Dean Koontz's dog, Trixie, is her best friend. My daughter has a dog named Bentley (because of the Kanye West song that says "she couldn't afford the car so she named her daughter Alexis" (get it? a Lexus.) I'm old enough to have taught the kids and some of the grandkids of people I went to school with. It scares me more that now I'm teaching the kids of the kids I taught.
